  • Heartfelt thank you for the excellent service for my stepmom (Sally Hampton). We appreciate everything the Funeral director and great staff did doing this difficult time.

First off- Nice service - however --not such a great staff- My cousin had a funeral this weekend 6/9 and 6/10 - The pastor/speaker whatever actually rushed me through my reflection. She stopped me before I could finish VERY RUDE- Seeing they basically held a " 30 minute service" of preaching and " saving" people....It was ridiculous and out of line. Also, one of the staff actually answered her phone while his service was going on. I am sure they caught her on camera seeing they recorded the service. Which if I was aware I was going to be recorded I would have kindly opted out. Disappointing-heads up------ dont think they will let you " reflect" on your loved one -they will cut you off then spend 40 minutes attempting to save people from the damnation of hell. Pitiful. I will never EVER recommend them to anyone.

  • Thank you so much everyone for making my sister's funeral a great goodbye! The celebration of her life holds great memories for our family. The way everyone helped to put this all together was so wonderful. It was very comforting to our family to know we only had to make one stop and have all our needs covered. Your funeral home and all of your wonderful people took very good care of our family!
We can't find enough positive words to thank Mrs.Bell, Bernard, Dorothy, Ms.Belizaire and all the staff's Mr.Bell you have a gifting for this service-oriented profession. Again Thank you!
    With deepest gratitude,

April 20, 2017, my father passed away as my sister and I were taking off on the plane to see our father at least one more time before he passes, unfortunately we didn't make it on time. April 21, 2017, my sister and I went to Bell's funeral home, a place my sister had already chosen before his death. Very nice and clean place and I admired the fact that its black owned. I was amazed at how much was going on and they still had the time to accommodate our needs as well. We sat in a office with a nice size flat screen, really well kept office. Even tho my father's death wasn't unexpected at the time, it was for us because as soon as we found out he had cancer, we drove from Cincinnati to ft Lauderdale to see him after 12 years and our next trip back, 2 weeks later he was gone. We don't have much, so our only option was to do cremation. We pick the urn and we paid in full the same day. We had to go back home so they said they'll ship it for a fee, so that's what we did. They told us 7 days. June 13, 2017, I called and said I still haven't received my father's Ashe's. I was put on hold, then someone pick up the phone and said let me call u back in 30 mins. A few hours passed by and I called back. Someone answer's, sounding like the same person from earlier and said, our office hrs are closed and the lines are transferred to my home line, so I'll have to call me back at 9 am in the morning. He asked my name but not my number so I said my number is....... June 14,2017, my phone rang at 2 something in the afternoon from the funeral home place. I called back and some lady said that my father's ashes will be here next week she just have to get a tracking number. I asked, why did it take so long, she said, it's a process. I said we'll I wasn't told that the process takes almost 2 months, she said, I understand but it's a process. I said, how do I know that it's my father's ashes after all this time. I was told 7 days! She kept saying I understand but it's a process, not I'm so sorry ma'am, it's our fault with a real reason and some or all of my money back! I'm pissed that this place and the people who work at Bell's funeral home would do this to my family. We had something planned on Memorial Day, to celebrate my father but we cancelled because we didn't have his Ashe's with us and til this day we still don't. Everytime I think about it, I cry because I don't know what they did with my father and I truly don't think that what they send me or if they send it, that's it's him. It could be anybody's remains. I don't know what to do or think but I'm going to do my research and find out something's because things don't add up. The bad part is I live 16 hrs away but I have to do what I have to do. Be careful, when looking for funeral or cremation services because some people are only in it for the money.
